never feel alone again

words exchange their meaning
the minute they’re spoken
as if they were flowers
caught inbetween seasons

***

He never wants to be alone,
he says,
the music in the club erases the meaning,
she hears only
what she wants to hear
– and leaves him alone.

  1. Dhyan says:

    the first part
    for me
is this everpresent problem & beauty of words

    the 2nd
    is lovely –

    “she hears only
    what she wants to hear”

aren’t we always hearing only what we want to hear?

  2. maybe we do – while pretending to hear what the others actually speak, intend to say
